Agent OS + Hermes Cloud is SCARY GOOD!

Today I want to show you how to use Hermes Agent with Cloud models so that you can build and automate anything you want inside an agentic operating system. So this is basically like the Hermes operating system where we have all our custom automations right here. But what we're going to focus on today is Hermes Cloud as the brain inside Hermes so that we can automate and build anything that we want. And we can connect this to our agent OS. So let's get straight into this. This is based on a question from Nathan. So you can see that Nathan says help with Hermes. He posted inside the app for boarding, which is where I answer questions daily like this. So if you have a tutorial that you want me to create, feel free to post inside here with a question. But Nathan has said, I have a question. I'm already running Hermes, but have it on a VM with Google Cloud. I have startup tokens. Is it possible to use the agent OS with it if my Hermes is on a VM or do I have to have it local? Which is a great question, right? Basically, do you need to run Hermes agent locally or can you run Hermes agent in the cloud and have that running with your agent operating system? So here's what I would recommend. Number one, I wouldn't recommend using Google Cloud VM with this system. I think that Hermes cloud already have their own system for this, which is probably much more productive. So you definitely can connect Hermes agent to your agent OS based in the cloud, but don't use Google Cloud. Use Hermes cloud. It's literally designed for this. And the way you would set up with an agentic operating system is you would have a separate profile with the brain plugged in this Hermes cloud. So for example, I have Hermes cloud as the brain inside my Hermes agent and we've set up with a free model. So that's the other benefit of this is not only can use Hermes cloud, but you can also use Hermes cloud with free models. You might also be wondering, okay, what free models can you use with Hermes cloud? So let me show you some examples here. So if we go to the list of models that they have, the top one that's trending right now is Solar Pro 4. Major and long cap 2.0 is available as well. And poolside Laguna S 2.1. These are the top out of all the models on Hermes, the top three are free. So you can get a lot of free models to run Hermes agent. And that means you get an agent in the cloud with free models. And also if one of these models ever gets taken down or removed, you can always switch them. So you can switch to poolside or, you know, if you're using Solar Pro 4 and that gets taken down, no problem. You can switch to long cap. You could have a separate cloud profile for each one of these brains. That's pretty amazing. So that's the way that would use it. Okay. Now, if we go over to Hermes cloud here, so we've got the Hermes cloud profile like so, and I can just test this working. So I'm gonna say, are you working right now? Let's check this works. And you can see here that it says, yes, I'm working right now. What do you need? Right? So that's probably the easiest way to connect Hermes in the cloud. Now you might say, okay, why would you want an agent OS with a cloud-based model? Well, there's a few options here. So for anyone who's reading and watching this and you're like, why would I use Hermes in the cloud instead of a local-based model? So basically, number one, it's a one-click deploy. So it's pretty quick to use. Number two, it runs 24-7, even whilst you're asleep. Number three, you can plug it into every single channel. Number four, it's got persistent memory. And number five, this is really important. It has an isolated sandbox, which means that it's not running locally on your computer. It's running in the cloud, which means it's fully isolated, right? If your agent goes out of control, no problem. You've got an isolated sandbox with your agent inside there instead of having it running wild locally. So those are some of the top reasons to do this. Now you might say, okay, how do I connect Hermes cloud to my AI agent? So if you're wondering how to connect Hermes cloud to Hermes inside the agent OS, it's pretty simple. All you're going to do is you're going to go into your favorite agent that set up the agent OS for you. So for example, I did this inside chat GPT and I said, can you just make sure the Hermes cloud is working inside our agent OS as a separate profile? And then I tested it. It didn't work. That's okay. That's why we test it. And you just go back and forth with it until your agent eventually fix it and configs it. So you can see, for example, inside my chat here, I said, you need to use a Hermes cloud model. And then I said, why don't you use some of these free models and give it an example of a list of all the models that we're using. And then it was like, sure, I've done that now. And it replies in like five seconds. Now, also, there's a lot of benefits using Hermes agent with your agent OS inside the cloud as well, because you can use all the custom workflows too. So for example, you have Hermes Oracle over here, which basically looks at the trending news and gives you a breakdown. You've got, for example, Hermes Muse, which gives you content ideas. You have Hermes Astros, which basically analyzes your competitors and then gives you some ideas for content based on your competitors and what's trending. Really, really useful. And the other thing as well, the great thing about this is you don't just connect it directly to your agent OS, but you can also have this configured with your phone. So you can run Hermes cloud with your phone on any channel that Hermes supports. Now that is option one. Option two, another option, but I don't recommend this. I will go with option one, but this is another option just to help you, is you can use Tailscale. So Tailscale gives you remote access to your AI agent. So if you have an AI agent on your phone or you have your agent OS set up in the cloud, you can connect Tailscale to your agent OS. Again, I would go with option one first, but if you prefer this setup, you can do it. And basically in 10 minutes, you can have your agent OS connected to your phone, to any other providers, to any other devices. And it's free to use on the personal plan. So that's a pretty good option too. And we have a full tutorial on how to do that over here. So those are the two options basically. And it's pretty simple and easy. The great thing about Hermes Cloud is like, you don't even need a separate API for Hermes Cloud. You can just switch to the free models inside Hermes Cloud. And also that's another benefit of using Hermes Cloud. It's like, you can easily switch models. You can test if one's out. They're hosted in the cloud. So like, you know, you don't have to worry about API keys and it's all plugged in. You just sign into your account. So that's a pretty good option too.
