Orca ADE: New FREE AI Coding Agent!

Today we're going to be looking at Orca ADE, which is a powerful way to run parallel agents. And you can run any AI coding agent. It's also available on desktop mobile and it's a free app that you can use to run all of your agents in multiple terminals as you can see right here. I'll show you exactly how to set up and use it. And if you're wondering why with covering Orca, basically, Kayo from the AI Profit Board actually posted about this and asked for some help and feedback and recommendations. So we're going to get straight into using it and setting up some core systems around it. Kayoom Kwanzaa, So what you can see here is the full system. If you're wondering how to set up, you can literally just go into your terminal like you can see here and copy this. If you don't know how to use terminal, if you're on Mac, you can just use the spotlight and then type in terminal like so. Kayoom Kwanzaa, Then once you've done that, you're going to type in the commands from the GitHub, which you can see here and just hit enter. And then once you've done that, you can just type in Orca open, Orca open. Kayoom Kwanzaa, And then once you've done that, you will see a setup page like you can see here. Kayoom Kwanzaa, Now you can switch between all these different models and agents, as you can see, actually automatically detects the AI agents that you want to use. And you can also switch the permissions down here. Kayoom Kwanzaa, So you can set up to skip the permissions and ask for approval each time or not. You might be deciding whether to do that because, for example, it's quite annoying just telling it to approve everything as you go along. Kayoom Kwanzaa, Whereas I prefer to set up like this. But if you're not familiar with AI agents or this is one of the first times you're using AI agents, I would just uncheck this just to be safe. Kayoom Kwanzaa, And then once you're comfortable, you can set up more. Now you can also see here, it's recognized our Hermes agent setup and it can choose which is our default. Kayoom Kwanzaa, So I'm going to go with Claude because Claude is a pretty cool agent to use. We can switch these things over here so we can change what it looks like. Kayoom Kwanzaa, And then we're going to continue and we can allow notifications and I like to avoid notifications on pretty much everything that I use just to avoid stuff. Kayoom Kwanzaa, Now you can see here that we can add a project. Now this is pretty cool because, for example, we can plug in a GitHub repository like this, or we can browse a folder and plug something new in. Kayoom Kwanzaa, So if you already have a local folder where you're working on a project, maybe a Vibe code and some data, Kayoom Kwanzaa, Then you can go with this or you can pull in an existing GitHub project or you can create a new one. Now you can also switch between different remote hosts. Kayoom Kwanzaa, So for example, you can add like a VPS over here, but I'm just going to stick with local and then I'm going to create a new project like so. Kayoom Kwanzaa, So let's say for example, how to track app, similar, just super basic example or fitness tracker example. Kayoomzaa, Right, fitness tracker app like that. So we're going to create the project now and that's going to start building over here. Kayoomzaa, Now we can also split the terminal, which I'll show you in a second. So what this means essentially is you can have multiple different terminals working together side by side when we're building out anything that we're Vibe coding. Kayoomzaa, So for example, we can have two agents at the same time working on different projects or the same project and making it better. Kayoomzaa, Now you might say, why would you do that? Well, number one is far easier than just opening up the terminal here. Kayoomzaa, And then you've got two different tabs and that's super messy. And also, it's much easier to see two tabs side by side like this. Kayoomzaa, You could for example, have two windows like that, and then another one over here. Kayoomzaa, But like it's not lined up. It's not all lined. It's not neat and tidy. So that's why you want to use something like this. Kayoomzaa, Now, having said that, do I recommend a system like this? For me personally, when I built out the Agent OS, Kayoomzaa, That works better for me than anything else I've tested. So for me personally, I still prefer to use the Agent OS. Kayoomzaa, And you can actually plug in Orca into your Agent OS system if you prefer. Kayoomzaa, You can just ask your agents to build in. But yeah, I prefer to use an Agent OS system. Kayoomzaa, Having said that, I'm happy to create tutorials like this just to help people. Kayoomzaa, So for example here, we can have Hermes, and then we can have Claude, and we can have two different agents working on the same project. Kayoomzaa, Now, again, you might say, why would I use, for example, Claude and Hermes Agent at the same time? Kayoomzaa, So they have access to different APIs, different skills, different personalities. Kayoomzaa, And also sometimes you're going to get rate limited with, for example, GPT-6 Astra. Kayoomzaa, And so if you switch over to a separate tab of Claude, you don't get stopped, right? You can continue. You could have like different agents with different APIs. You could have four different Hermes coding on the same project, each one with a different model, so that you don't get rate limited. Kayoomzaa, So for example, you could have one with an open router free API key. Kayoomzaa, Then you could have like GPT-6 Astra. Kayoomzaa, Then you could have, for example, Kimi K3 plugged in on one. Kayoomzaa, So you could have like different setups coding on the same project, which is pretty nice. Kayoomzaa, So from here, for example, we can have inside our agent over here, we say, can you create a fitness tracker app that looks beautiful on mobile? Kayoomzaa, And then it can start building out that, as you can see right here. Kayoomzaa, And then once that's completed, once a basic project is set up, then you can have Hermes agent running on that over here as well. Kayoomzaa, So it's pretty cool. Kayoomzaa, And then you can also set up a new tab here where you can have a browser tab. Kayoomzaa, So what that means essentially is that if you are coding out an app or a website, you can preview it over here and you can run that locally. Kayoomzaa, How do you open it up? Well, for example, let's say you're working on the agent OS. Kayoomzaa, Well, you could, for example, get the local post URL like this for the agent OS. Kayoomzaa, Then you can go back over to Orca. Kayoomzaa, You can paste that in like so. Kayoomzaa, And then you've got the agent OS system that you can work on over here. Kayoomzaa, And you've got your agents in the terminal over here. Kayoomzaa, So you've kind of got like a side by side preview of what you can build and what you can edit. Kayoomzaa, So if we go inside here, you can see that Claude is now asking us, Kayoomzaa, Okay, what type of app do you want to build? Kayoomzaa, I'm going to go with that. Kayoomzaa, Then we can go with this. Kayoomzaa, And we can just go with the default answers and just submit that. Kayoomzaa, This is a test project, as you can see. Kayoomzaa, Now inside the browser tab, not only can you, for example, preview new stuff, you can refresh a page if you need to come back to it, but also you can import stuff here. And then also you can basically take different elements of the page and annotate that so your AI agents can edit it in real time. Kayoomzaa, So for example, if we grab a page element like this and I'm like, do you know what? I don't really like that. Kayoomzaa, We can use this and then we can actually annotate it inside our AI agents. Kayoomzaa, So we can paste that in like so. Kayoomzaa, So we can paste in the code from this project, use that as a reference and say, Kayoomzaa, Hey, change this, make the color better, right? Kayoomzaa, Change UI, make it look more beautiful, make the content bigger or better or whatever. Kayoomzaa, And you can flick between all these and when you click it, you copy it and then you go back to your AI agent and you use it as a reference. Kayoomzaa, This is really useful because if you can't code someone like me, I can't code, I'm not a technical person, but I can use the system because I can just get the element, copy and paste it, plug it into the agent and we're good to go on that. Kayoomzaa, Now also what we can do over here is we can have a new tab with a mobile emulator. Kayoomzaa, So if we close that, now we've got the app being built on the left hand side and we have the mobile emulator being viewed over here. Kayoomzaa, However, if you want to be able to view the mobile app itself and preview it, you have to make sure you have either iOS simulator in Xcode installed or Android virtual device in Android Studio. Kayoomzaa, So just bear that mind like you can use either of these, but you have to have them installed first. Kayoomzaa, And if you don't know how to install them, like you can ask the AI agent, hey, set up Xcode, hey, set up Android virtual device in Android Studio, whatever you prefer. Kayoomzaa, So your agents can actually set that up for you. Kayoomzaa, So we can close that now, but that's just a couple of examples here. Kayoomzaa, And then also over here, we have like markdown files. Kayoomzaa, So you can set up markdown files and give that to your AI agents. Kayoomzaa, So you can also open this up and you can have a separate agent in a separate tab with any of these agents you've got pre-installed. Kayoomzaa, So all of these agents basically orcas automatically pick them up from the setup that I have here. Kayoomzaa, So when we're using this, we can just switch between them. Kayoomzaa, Okay, well, I want to use OpenClaw. Kayoomzaa, Actually, you know what? I've changed my mind. I want to use Hermes. Kayoomzaa, Okay, sure. Let's use Hermes. Kayoomzaa, Okay, I've changed my mind. Kayoomzaa, And you can just switch between them. Kayoomzaa, And in the meantime, whilst you're doing all of this previewing it, editing it, looking at the mobile emulator, etc. Kayoomzaa, You can see on the right hand side, Claude is now building out this project for us. Kayoomzaa, And once that's completed, we can come back to it. Kayoomzaa, Now at the same time, you can also have multiple different projects that you're working on. Kayoomzaa, So for example, we can start up a new project here, just as an example. Kayoomzaa, And then you can code simultaneously on two different projects at the same time, just switch between them. Kayoomzaa, Because if this is taking ages, we can work on the next project and just be more productive, which is pretty cool as well. Kayoomzaa, There's also some useful stuff like inside the settings here, we can switch between mobile integration. Kayoomzaa, So you can have mobile setup over here. Kayoomzaa, You can also use integrations as you can see. Kayoomzaa, So like GitLab CLI. Kayoomzaa, You've got, for example, all these different plugins that you can add over here. Kayoomzaa, You can also voice control it. Kayoomzaa, So you can allow it to access your voice, listen to the microphone, and then it can basically speak to you directly or you can speak to it. Kayoomzaa, You have computer use set up here. Kayoomzaa, So computer use is super useful. Kayoomzaa, If you're building something out that you want to test, then the great thing about this is when you're building it out, you can basically get your agent to use computer use. Kayoomzaa, So again, you have to install this as a skill, but it's just like a one click update skill. Kayoomzaa, So you just click it like that. Kayoomzaa, I've already installed it as you can see right here. Kayoomzaa, And then we have orchestration. Kayoomzaa, So inside the orchestration section, we can enable agents to hand off context and coordinate work through Orca. Kayoomzaa, So if you install this, and let's say for example, you're using ChatGPT over here, with ChatGPT over here, you can actually go and ask it to operate Orca for you. Kayoomzaa, And then you can have ChatGPT Astr6 as the orchestrator controlling Orca for you. Kayoomzaa, So these are all some example use cases. Kayoomzaa, Do I use it day to day? No. Kayoomzaa, Why don't I use it day to day? Because I prefer the H&OS. Kayoomzaa, But is it useful? Yes. Kayoomzaa, Is it a cool tool? Absolutely. Kayoomzaa, I think the mobile feature where you can actually continue coding in parallel on your computer using the mobile functionality, that's really cool. Kayoomzaa, And also the mobile preview is really good. Kayoomzaa, And additionally, if you prefer open source projects, you know, for example, if you prefer to use Hermes and OpenClaw together, well that makes total sense because you can't do this inside Claude. Kayoomzaa, You're not going to have, for example, Claude desktop open running Hermes Agent unless you ask it to orchestrate them indirectly, which is not as efficient. Kayoomzaa, The same with Codex. Kayoomzaa, Like you can't preview what Hermes does inside Codex like this unless you open up a new terminal window, which is not really designed to do. Kayoomzaa, You can see here it doesn't even have like a clear way to use the terminal. Kayoomzaa, You kind of have to figure out yourself by opening up a new chat over here. Kayoomzaa, So pretty powerful tool, a lot of fun to play with, a lot of different ways you can go with it. Kayoomzaa, And it's just fun as well. Kayoomzaa, You can also set up automations and tasks. Kayoomzaa, So this is kind of like having something like Hermes Agent, but inside Orca where you can set up weekly scheduled tasks here that just run on default each week, as you can see here. Kayoomzaa, And you can open up projects. Kayoomzaa, Also, if you're working on repositories on GitHub, you can open up the PRs and projects and issues over here as well. Kayoomzaa, And you've got the checklist that it recommends when you start this up. Kayoomzaa, So it's a really cool tool, fun to use, free to use. Kayoomzaa, You can have it running with open source projects. Kayoomzaa, So you could have Hermes Agent, which is free, running with Orca, which is free. Kayoomzaa, And then you can have the brain plugged into a cloud model, which is also free with Hermes Agent. Kayoomzaa, And you can have that all running inside one system.
